About
Hey there!
My name is Leroy, and I make things! It's hard to be less vague than that, as I'm always getting involved in different projects. Be that as it may, I'll try and break down some of my creative journey for you.
Illustrator.
I have a degree in Graphic Design & Illustration and I've been drawing funny creatures my whole life. While studying, I got heavily involved with multiple art collectives that moulded who I am today. It introduced me to the world of 'live art' and 'art battles' which are always great fun to be part of.
Mural Artist.
When I was younger, I used to be a painter and decorator on the side. Combining the skills I gained from this job and my experience in live art battles, becoming a mural artist felt like a natural transition. The feeling of painting a design on a large scale that cheers everyone's days up brings me a lot of joy.
Ceramicist.
I actually stumbled across this profession almost by accident. My mother is an incredibly talented ceramicist and encouraged me to use her studio while I had an extended time living with her. She always wanted me to have a career in 3D art but I had resisted and stuck to mostly 2D. When I had made a fair few things that I was proud of, I set up an online shop and the rest is history! I would have never guessed that I would be making ceramic slugs as a living, but then again a part of me is not surprised. After all, they're almost as silly as myself.
